If you want to set up online success and passive income opportunities on the Internet then you’re going to need to have a solid understanding of how to go about doing keyword research in relation to the competition that is out there.

So today I wanted just to give you some quick tips on how you can go about assessing your competition for keywords that you are wanting to target and rank well for in Google or other search engines. First of all if you’re serious about making income online then make sure you are using the browser Mozilla Firefox. It has great SEO plugins that you can use to do your research.

If you have this browser set up I would download the useful plugin tool SEO Quake. This plugin will tell us some important information when looking at the top few results in Google. The results we’ll be concerned with here are the domains age and also the PR (page rank). I won’t go into how to set it up but this lovely little plug in will display all of that crucial information.

The next step is to take the keyword you are thinking about targeting and type it into good old Google. After we get our results back underneath the top domains the information we need will pop up. Below is the list of factors you should be checking for to see if your chosen keyword is heavy competition and if you have a chance of ranking and making any income with it.

  • Domain age (The older the name the more authority they will have)
  • Page rank (If page rank is 4 or higher it’s going to be pretty tough to beat quickly and will take more work)
  • Is the keyword in the URL (If the keyword is in the url they will get more credit for that keyword too)
  • Is the keyword in the website title displayed in Google (If the keyword is in the title means their title is optimized for that keyword)

Basically if a site has all of the four factors above mentioned then they will be fairly tough competition. That being said it doesn’t mean you should be giving up on the keyword that you had chosen and your online success towards making residual income. What it does mean is that you’ll have to work a bit harder. Good luck and more on SEO tips and tricks from me soon!

Making residual income online is what everybody talks about on the Internet these days. I don’t blame them, if you can actually set the lifestyle up, it’s a great way to make income online and be a bit freer to live your life on the schedule that works for you. Now the problem with this is that there are so many new people trying to teach the next person about how to get into the game of making some cash online. So I’m sure like me you want to know who to listen to, and what kind of courses to buy.

Well first of all when you’re beginning to study about all the different residual income business opportunities out there it’s great to just read everything and anything out there but take it with a grain of salt. Don’t listen to everybody out there but read it all, watch videos, sign up for newsletters, get books, do a few courses and just absorb as much information as you can about the different business models out there.

By doing this what will start to happen is you will begin to notice some common ideas or concepts that people talk about that has helped them start making a passive money online. Many of these ideas will actually have some truth to them so star to investigate them further, start trying them out for yourself and see how they work.

As you continue to read blogs, watch videos, read books, etc you will also notice that common names pop up. These names could be book authors, people that run successful blogs, or even people that do coaching or have developed courses. Make sure to take careful notes of these names. What I like to do is have a list of “books I want” where I’ll add and author name and book title to the list each time I start hearing good things about it. I do the same thing with websites and online courses that I hear about.

So when starting out trying to learn all about making passive income on the internet try to learn as much as possible. This means listening to everyone with an open mind, taking notes of good books and people you start hearing about, and trying some of the methods out that you learn. I guarantee you that after a few months you will start to find a few resources that really work for you. Once you do find these resources stick with them and keep going at whatever is working out!

Choosing a Residual Income Program

Welcome to the exciting but very confusing and sometimes overwhelming world of trying to choose a good residual income program that works for you. See the thing is that over the last few years especially with the popularization of the Internet and the World Wide Web there is a lot of talk from all sorts of people that the net is a great place to start to earn and make residual income.

There is definitely truth to the above statement and many people do make great money over the Internet on a daily basis but you need to be careful at which online passive income stream you choose to go after just because there are so many options out there. The thing is if you choose to go after all of them not only will you get depressed and overwhelmed from information overload but you also will not be able to focus on any of them properly. What then happens is you won’t start to make any money and you probably will give up. I’m not trying to sound negative but I’ve seen it happen to most people who try to get into this money making world or business opportunities. I myself almost gave up due to information overload but I decided to keep on path and it is now paying off slowly but surely.

What I would recommend is take your time for the first little while and just read about and study all the different residual income opportunities that are out there. After you find one that you feel you are interested in or would be able to excel in go after that. Once you start that business model give it some solid effort and time and don’t give up until you are making a bit of money from that program. At that time you can decide if your current business model works for you and if you want to continue to work on that or to go to the next opportunity and try that out. If you just give a mediocre attempt to any passive income opportunity I can tell you now it won’t work – stay on it until some cash flows in and then quit if you don’t like it.
