Key to Success and Solid Income Streams is Time

Posted on December 20th, 2008 in Making Passive Income Online, Successful Thinking & Strategies | No Comments »

Can you folks agree with me that one of the keys to success and setting up residual income streams is time? I don’t know if that is accurate to say because for some people depending on what kind of investments they make or online opportunities they get involved in they can make some good money pretty quickly. What I think it really comes down to though, more precisely, is patience and setting a long term goal that you stick to.

As I’ve mentioned many times before I truly believe that in order to learn how to earn passive income one of the shortcuts is through coaching. Well today I finished a session with a new internet business coach that I’m working with and I must say I felt a bit discouraged. It’s usually the opposite but after speaking with him I could see clearly in front of me that goals I’m trying to achieve in terms of business opportunities, income, and success are most likely going to take time and patience.

One of the reasons I clearly realized this is just because the content he was teaching me was not exactly what I want to do to make money. It is a web model of generating passive income that definitely works but to tell you the truth I don’t see it as a long term income generator. After I hung up the phone I started contemplating about why I felt down but couldn’t figure it out exactly yet.

Later today I was reading a book by Robert Kiyosaki and he was speaking about how successful people are the ones that usually set and then follow long term success and wealth goals and don’t rush to achieve them. They know it will all come with a matter of time. Unsuccessful people chase faster results. I think that happened to me a bit today. I spoke to my coach hoping to hear some magic words but didn’t. Instead I heard about making money in a way that I wasn’t comfortable with so in some ways I was placed back at square one.

Anyway the wealth and success lesson for me out of this is that this whole process is going to take time and that I don’t need to rush it. I’m making at least $10 a day in passive income off the Internet and I’m going to keep working steadily towards my goal of $200 a day off the Internet. I have a long way to go to hit that passive income level but I’ll make it happen because I know success and good opportunities take time to develop.

Online Income Opportunity – Build a Business

You all want to find an online income opportunity quickly right? Yeah I know. So do I, and so do thousands of other internet and web entrepreneurs or get rich quick opportunity seekers. Well as I’ve spoke about before in the past if you want to make some green backs on the web then develop a real business!

Think about it this way if you were opening up a shop in your city or town would you start selling useless items to people? Hopefully your answer is no. What does this mean? Well it means that if you get in the success mindset of setting up websites, blogs, and product sites that are useful to your visitors you’ll set up a long term income and business opportunity.

On the web right now there are so many people setting up “niche sites” and blogs about things they really are not interested in order to generate some quick wealth. Well I can tell you that it’s a waste of time and even if you start to make some money from your site it will die off shortly and you won’t have set up a long term passive business.

So if you want to actually leave your day job then don’t buy into all these niche products and get rich quick schemes that people are selling. Are you really going to set up business opportunities selling ebooks on scrapbook making and duck hunting when you really have no interest in knowledge in these subjects? Remember to ask yourself these questions before you buy products to make online income or wealth.

  • Am I interested in this niche?
  • Does it have income and revenue potential?
  • Is it a long term or short term business?
  • Is it unique or is it something that thousands of other people are doing?
  • Is the website or blog something that people will find value in?

So if you are serious about developing a legitimate online income opportunity then start developing an actual business model from day one. The days of building up low quality sites on the Internet are slowly coming to a close. The web is still fairly new and has lots of great potential for those who take the time, think strategically, and set up solid long term businesses – Good luck!

Making Residual Income Online for Bloggers, SEO Part 3

SEO Tips

Welcome to part three in my SEO tips series today on how to make residual income online through the knowledge of SEO and search engine strategies. I got inspired to write this short post after going through hundreds of high powered investment and financial blogs and reviewing their content. Something hit me, although many bloggers have great blogs and I really respect them for that, they don’t seem to have basic knowledge of SEO and how to turn their blog into a passive income generator.

I’ve talked a bit on this blog about how important it is to have the keywords you’re trying to rank for in your title tags. I’ve also mentioned how important it is to try and include your keywords in the titles of your posts as well. Today I want to talk to you about the importance of having your main keywords in your anchor text that you’re putting out all over the internet.

Many of you have done a great job of building up your page rank through posting on your blog, commenting on related blogs, and doing link exchanges with other bloggers. This is great and you should continue to do this but one thing you need to try and do is when you do blogroll exchange links with other bloggers try to get keyword phrases into these links.

For example if you have a blog about online investing then make sure you try and include that in the links you get to your site. Have links to your blog like Online Investing, Online Money Investments, etc. Don’t have something like “Pete’s EZ Investment Blog”. The reason I recommend this is because Google and other search engines will start to recognize what your blog is related to and then rank you high when users search for related terms. Remember no one is typing in “Pete’s EZ Investment Blog” but they are typing in all sorts of phrases like “Online Investing Blogs”.

Having a great blog that readers love is perfect. What I’m saying today is go about it strategically. Build it into a residual income opportunity the wise way. When you get a new link to your site from another blog think about what you want them to put as the anchor text – Search engines will love you for it and you’ll get more traffic and also more cash flow.

Financial Freedom Online by Doing 1 Thing per Day

If you’re really going to start to financial freedom online then you need to set up some kind of working patterns and flows. It’s really hard for some people to get into certain work habits but if you want to succeed in this game then you’re really going to need to set a working style up and then stick to it.

You see the problem with most people that just start out getting into this passive income game is they end up getting overwhelmed or since they already have a day job that they are doing they don’t put the required time in to this business that it requires. Remember it does take time to succeed and make things happen for you.

What I recommend is that you make sure to do at least one thing per day that relates to your online business opportunity that you are working towards. Of course if you have more time you put in way more time but I’m saying that even if you had a long day at work you still do at least one thing that is working towards you overall goal.

This can mean writing a new article to put up on your website, emailing some people to promote your business, registering a new domain name, and many other things. I’m not referring to reading. If you have time to read of course do that but make sure to get at least 1 thing done per day that relates to your current business. On weekends and other days put much more time into it of course but if you follow this advice not only will you feel good but slowly but surely you will actually get a lot of things done!

So from now on don’t let another day slip by you where you haven’t completed at least one task on your residual income business!

Online Residual Income – Buy Your First Website

Posted on November 11th, 2008 in Making Money With Adsense, Making Passive Income Online, Residual Income Business, SEO For Bloggers | No Comments »

If you want to make an online residual income and you want to start off fast without all of the waiting there is a way to get around it. Basically what you can do is buy a website that is already generating an online passive income. Yes that’s true people actually sell websites after they have built them up.

Let’s start off by explaining why buying a website that is already making a residual online income is a good idea. First of all when you start a new website on the internet in order to actually start being found by Google there is a waiting period or what is referred to as the Google “sandbox” in internet marketing circles. This is an unofficial time period of between three months to one year where new websites basically are not really found in search results by Google. It’s to protect people from spam websites that want to generate quick income online and then move on. What this means for you is even if you produce a legit website you’ll be waiting about three months at least until you see any income coming in.

Another good reason to buy a website that is already is making some money is that if you buy a proper site, the person who is running it has already done the keyword research, design, and search engine optimization for you. It couldn’t get easier then that. All you have to do is maintain the website by writing some content and keep updating the SEO of it. If you do that and you have purchased a proper site you will continue to generate passive income for a long time to come.

Now if you do want to buy a website that is already making an income online I would head over to the website sitepoint.com and then go browse around in there marketplace section. There you will be able to look through what people are offering. People usually price a website for 8-12 months of what they make monthly. So if they are earning $100 a month of residual income through Adsense then they will probably sell there site for between $800-1200 and that would be a fair price to ask. Just remember to make sure that you ask to see proof of what kind of income the site you are thinking about is actually making.

So if you really want to make an online income, then buying a website that is already generating money might be a great place to start. The good thing is you’ll already be earning residual income every month and you’ll start to understand how the whole system works and feels. As this purchased website is working away for you then you’ll just keep building your other sites in the background. If you do have a bit of income to put down I would really recommend this method of getting your feet wet in this game!

Building an Affiliate Residual Income Business

Posted on November 2nd, 2008 in Making Passive Income Online, Residual Income Business | No Comments »

Ok you’ve heard people all over the Internet speaking about how to make affiliate residual income and you’ve come here to try and figure out what this residual business opportunity is all about. Well let’s start off by saying that you don’t just buy one eBook, follow the 25 pages of instructions, set up your affiliate program and then start to earn residual income for life. I hate to be the one to break it to you but it just doesn’t work like that for most people. In order to build a proper residual income opportunity you are going to need to focus, take your time, and it will take some money as well as trial and error.

So let’s get into explaining a bit about how affiliate programs work and what you will need to do to get to the stage where you are actually making passive residual income on a daily basis. First of all let’s take a second to explain the affiliate business model for anyone who is not yet familiar with it. Basically what you do with Internet affiliate marketing is you will set up a website that recommends one or many products or services to your readers. If the visitors to your website decide to end up visiting the website you recommend and actually buy a product or service you will get a commission of that. Once you have a website set up that has lots of daily traffic and readers that is when making money will actually start to happen and come into effect.

Now what you first need to do if you are planning on trying to build up your income through Internet affiliate marketing is you will need to sign up for a few affiliate networks. I won’t get into details today on what networks are best and how to go about using them but I can tell you that some of the famous ones that you should be signing up and using are www.clickbank.com and also www.cj.com Any affiliate marketer on the Internet that is actually earning a solid online passive income will definitely be using one if not both of those networks to earn their money month after month.

I want to explain one final aspect of what you’ll need to do in order to make residual income online through affiliate marketing. You need a good website that recommends your product and you need to have lots of targeted web traffic each day. Even if you are a great online salesman and you have a beautiful website it won’t help you at all unless you understand SEO and web traffic methods. Your passive money from the affiliate site can only grow if you have a steady flow of daily/monthly traffic so just remember that.
